Holistic Health: A Whole-Body Approach to True Healing
Holistic health is a term that we are hearing more frequently, but what does it really mean?
Holistic health is an approach to health care that considers the whole body: the mind, body and spirit, rather than just symptoms or a body part. Why is this important? Because by addressing all aspects of the person, including physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and energetic levels, we can actually get to the root cause of an issue.
The goal of the holistic approach is to promote balance and restore homeostasis in the body, to allow natural healing to occur. The approach can involve conventional medicine, but also alternative therapies and lifestyle changes. Some of the alternative therapies that might be beneficial include dry needling, cupping, mindfulness activities, modalities to help release trapped emotions, and energetic and Reiki healing.
The overall goal of holistic health is to promote optimal healing, prevent illness, and to restore the balance in the body.
